What Makes Us Different

Anyone can claim to be a "Computer Expert" but that doesn't mean that they are a computer professional.  Bright Solutions looks at things from a different angle. When we look at problems, we envision solutions.

  • We actually answer the phone and provide personal human interaction. If you should call when we are unable to answer immediately we have staff on call 24x7 who can typically respond within the hour.
  • As professionals, the technical staff of Bright Solutions spends about 20- 30% of it's work week honing skills to keep up with industry trends.
  • We understand the vital role that a reliable information system plays in every business.
  • We have business experience and training so we see the “big” picture rather than just technical stuff.
  • As certified partners we have priority access to a whole team of people who will work with us to find resolution to business critical issues and complex projects.

We maintain certified partner relationships with with many other organizations such as Microsoft,  Intel Advanced Micro Devices, Gateway, EMC Dantz, DellHitachi, Vmware and others.
  • We are hardware and software agnostic meaning we are willing (and probably have allready worked with anything which our clients need assistance with windows, apple, linux, unix - you name it we can work on it.
  • We perform background checks and maintain written non-disclosure agreements for staff. Sensitive state and federal entities have also independantly cleared our staff for access to sensitive areas. We can execute a written non-disclosure agreement upon request.
  • We believe that information systems should be able to work for months or years at a time with minimal service and should add to your productivity and profitability.
  • Bright Solutions does not sell equipment to make a profit. We charge for our time and expertise. That way you, can rest assured that you are getting unbiased advice and the best deal. We will provide purchase assistance in assisting with the selection of the best products and vendors to meet a particular need.
  • We don't keep information from you. No smoke and mirrors mystery. We will show you how to do things for yourself if you like.  Our goal is to empower our clients not lock them in.
We can resolve almost any computer problem

Of course the best solutions involve preventing problems from happening in the first place.

By applying time-tested troubleshooting techniques along with a keep-it-simple methodology  we have resolved just about every challenge that has been presented.

We maintain partner relationships with with many other organizations such as Microsoft, Intel, AMD, Gateway, EMC/Dantz, Dell, and Nokia. As certified Microsoft partners we have priority access to a whole team of people that will work with us finding fast resolution to business critical issues.

We Love Open Source

What is "open source" and why should you care?

We think open source is very very cool. The concept is simple. Somebody writes a program then  publishes under a GPL or Copy Left or BSD license. That way others can freely share improve and distribute the program.

Collaborative development is helping make the world a better place. Having the source code means  anyone can contribute, write manuals, improve features, report bugs, share the word, donate time or money.  Everyone wins!

Free software
Free means that you are in control. Free software can mean that you have freedoms that closed proprietary systems sometimes may not provide. Free software may also mean that you don't have to pay a licensing fee to use it.

We value freedom and we are committed to helping others know there is a choice. Free software can be the best solution in some situations but there are also times that a commercial package is appropriate. When selecting a commercial application we prefer packages that allow for the easy export of data so the risk of being stuck is minimized.

Open source software can sometimes be distributed in a way that allows supporters to make a living while offering more freedom to users. Thus it is possible for "free" software to have a distribution or support fee.

Having access to the source code means that even if the original developers stop making or supporting it, users can still improve, support or tweak the software. So given the choice, we think that it is worth looking for free software that meets or can easily be adapted the needs of a particular project.
