Many technology pundits assume that just as Microsoft has dominated the PC market for many years, that the giant could do the same in any market it decided to play in.
Roughly Drafted Magazine has a
different view
, one that is starting to seem more and more like the real story.
Microsoft owes much of its PC success to a "perfect storm" of factors, few of which are repeatable in today's technology environment. The next few years will be very interesting to watch.
